The Basics

Everyone has to start at the beginning. To get the full force behind what Flash is capable of, you need to start at the fundamentals and work your way up. Most people want to jump in head first and make complicated Flash movies without having started at the Basics. More often than not, these people only end up frustrated.

To start with, you need Flash! If you don't own Flash, you can get a free 30-day fully-functional trial download from Macromedia Here. To begin your training, go through the online lessons and samples that come with Flash by going to Help>Lessons and Help>Samples in Flash. The online help is a great resource also, but read it carefully as it builds on itself and does not repeat anything.
