Macromedia Flash
Flash delivers interactive graphics which can be used to replace gif and jpeg files. Flash files are not only interactive, but are generally much smaller in size which means your pages load fast! The only drawback to Flash is that it is a free client-side viewer which requires the latest version to be downloaded from macromedia for all visitors who wish to view the content. The latest viewers, are self-updating and have been shipped with Internet Explorer and Netscape since version 3. About 90 percent of internet users have Flash on their machines already! Visitors with slower processors may experience lags in the performance since Flash is dependent upon their machines. Flash is fast becoming a favorite format for interactive web graphic content and is integrated with Macromedia Shockwave. It also is capable of streaming audio, although currently it is not a good choice for large audio streams or broadcasts. RealMedia
RealMedia is one of the best methods for delivering streaming audio.video. Although not interactive on its own, it can interface with Flash to make dynamic interactive streaming media. RealMedia is the choice for audio streaming as it supports a wide variety of web-based radio stations and is very widely recognized media format. The free downloadable "RealPlayer" manages bookmarks to the locations on the web which are RealServers for easy access to the user's favorite channels, broadcasts and websites containing Real content and has been shipped with browsers for some time now.

QuickTime
QuickTime is Apple's video file format and is gaining wide popularity, especially in Hollywood as Apple's tightens it's grip on the film industry. We support this format as well. QuickTime is also a free client-side viewer which requires downloading of the latest files and streams the media to the viewer's computers.
